- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, role (teacher, parent, student, admin).
- Profile data: school name, uploaded school logo, profile preferences.
- Content data: resources, prompts, uploads, classroom rosters and submissions you create.
- Usage & device data: pages visited, features used, IP address, browser and device identifiers, log data.
- Support data: messages you send to us and any information you share when contacting support.
3. Why we use it
- To create and operate your account and deliver the service (contract).
- To generate AI resources you request and store them in your library (contract).
- To secure the platform, prevent fraud, spam and abuse (legitimate interests).
- To improve product features and reliability (legitimate interests).
- To provide customer support (contract / legitimate interests).
- To send service and, where you have opted in, marketing communications (consent).
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers / subprocessors that host, store and support the platform (cloud hosting, database, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery).
- Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, which handles payments, billing, tax compliance, invoicing and subscription management.
- Professional advisers such as our legal and accounting advisers where required.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside South Africa. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised in the destination country.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.
